Buzz Bumble to the Rescue by Lynn E. Hazen
This is a story for young children. It has fantastic pictures, which are brightly
coloured. The story is about a family of bees. Baby Bee upsets Buzz because
she gets all of the attention, but at the end they are friends. I think the story
is brilliant.

Glitter Kitty by Mara Bergman and Lydia Monks
There is a girl called Cuddles, she was always slinking through doors. Softpaws said “Good Morning Cuddles, what can we do for you today?” Cuddles said “I need a bit of colour in my hair.” Later on Cuddles went to Rascal’s house to drop something off “I’m going to be ready for tonight” and Rascal remembered what Softpaws gave him to give to Cuddles. A lot more happened. I liked it because it had good illustrations.

Looking After Little Ellie by Dosh and Mike Archer
Looking After Little Ellie is a good book for children of 3, 4 or 5 – it is really funny.
Some little mice are babysitting a baby elephant they can barely manage. The pictures are bright and pastelly – like a baby’s nursery – with real photos stuck on. The mice are very cute and they pull good faces. When they kiss Ellie goodbye they have to stand on each others’ shoulders.

Milly Bean, Jungle Queen by Martin Waddell
It is about a mean girl who thinks she is the queen of the jungle. My favourite part of the book is when she laughed at a lion. My second favourite part was when she booed at a bear. At the end it has a bit of a twist. It is funny.

Olivia Saves the Circus by Ian Falconer
Olivia enjoys making pancakes in the morning. Also she is kind and helpful to her mum. She thinks her uniform is really boring. She likes to dress up too. She always blossoms in front of an audience. She’s good at performing in the circus. The best part of this book is when she told her big long story to the class.

Splash Joshua Splash by Malachy Doyle
This book was very boring at times. I liked the characters of Joshua and grandma, they remind me of days out I have with my Nannie. I really enjoyed the way the author described splashing around in the water, it sounded exciting and I felt like I was there with them. I found it very hard to follow and sometimes I lost interest. I also didn’t feel it had a very interesting plot.

THAT’S NOT FUNNY BY ADRIAN JOHNSON
Alfie is a little boy who laughs when others have accidents. He does not think how others feel until his Granddad takes him out for the day and he has an accident and every one laughs at him.
He finally finds out it’s not nice when people have accidents and others laugh at them. I enjoyed reading this book.

The Two Left Feet- By Adam Stower
Two Left Feet is a children’s book. It is about a group of monsters who love to dance and tell a story of one monster called Rufus. Rufus is sad because although he loves to dance, he can only do the ‘wallop’. All of the monsters are invited to a grand ball at the palace, but Rufus is unable to find a partner to go with. Rufus bumps in to Sadie who is the perfect partner. The story has a happy ending for Rufus.
I liked Two Left Feet because the pictures were nice and colourful and showed lots of funny monsters. I also liked the way the words were all wiggly. Two Left Feet was an interesting and fun story and I really liked Rufus because he was funny and cute. I liked everything about this book.
I would recommend this book to boys and girls who enjoy colourful, fun and entertaining story books.
